Description: This hike will begin at the parking area at Basin Creek on Longbottom Road. The hike will be a steady climb up the Flat Rock Ridge Trail to the Bluff Mountain Ridge Trail adjacent to the Blue Ridge Parkway. After following the Bluff Mountain Ridge Trail, the hike will descend on the Grassy Gap Trail to the beginning point. The distance is 11.6 miles, and the elevation gain is 3,602 feet. R-48 (strenuous).
