Type of Outing: Hike/Paddle When: 11/07/2025 - 11/09/2025 Leader: Gale Magann & Lynette Tullos Description: Join Lynette and me exploring one of our newest national parks in Hopkins, SC about 30 minutes SE of Columbia, SC. We will leisurely explore old-growth forests with some of the tallest trees in the eastern North America. With luck, we will see river otters, deer, turtles, wading birds and maybe a gator. Hopefully, the mosquitoes and bugs will be gone by then. Camping is possible but it requires some hiking. There are no RV hookups. Cypress View Campground is 45 minutes away and there are hotels in Columbia on the Fort Jackson side of Columbia. Contact me or Lynette for more information.
