Description: Join us for a fun weekend in Elkin, NC. On Friday evening, we will host a social at our campsite at Byrd's Branch Campground. Saturday, we plan to kayak the Yadkin River from Crater Park to Burch Station at Mitchell River (Class I, II)The section may change depending on river conditions. We will close out the day with dinner at a local brewery. * While considered a beginner white water section, paddlers should have some experience with moving water and be comfortable up to Class II whitewater. Sunday morning, we will explore the easy trails in the Carter Falls/Grassy Creek area to finish our weekend. Each participant will arrange their own accomodation. **Day trip option- Saturday kayaking with a brewery meetup after would make a great day trip option for those traveling from either Greensboro or Winston-Salem areas.
