Description: Come with me to explore the rich foothills of nearby Elkin, NC - my humble hometown. On this lovely trail, we will hike through rolling hills, rustic meadows and rural farmlands out to the hidden, and truly majestic, Carter Falls before making our way back to the vineyard where we will enjoy a Sunday spring picnic and exquisite Yadkin Valley wine from Grassy Creek Vineyard and Winery after the hike. Please everyone bring your favorite finger food style dish or charcuterie for a pot-luck-inspired picnic. This will be an easy, relaxing hike meant for us to enjoy walking through the beautiful backcountry of my hometown with the opportunity to enjoy the best of Grassy Creek Winery. 6 miles, 518 ft elev.
